As Vice President and General Manager, Jerry has day to day responsibilities for the management, marketing and business development for J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc.’s Commercial Division. Jerry was named General Manager/Vice President in 1996 after having served as an Office Specialist for 11 years with J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc.

In 2006, Jerry was recognized as one of the top "Forty over 40" in commercial real estate throughout the midwest by Midwest Real Estate News. Jerry is a past recipient of the Wichita Area Association of Realtors President’s Club and Master’s Circle Awards. He has also achieved Weigand’s Partnership Club Award for outstanding sales production.

Jerry is actively involved in the real estate industry serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the Wichita Area Association of Realtors and the Kansas Association of Realtors. He is also the Chairman of the Government Affairs Committee at the state level and serves on several committees at the local level. Jerry was appointed by the Governor of Kansas to serve two terms on the Kansas Real Estate Commission from 1997 to 2005.

Jerry’s civic involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors of the Wichita Downtown Development Corporation. He chairs an allocation committee for the United Way of the Plains and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Washburn University Alumni Association. He previously served as the President of the Board for the Wichita Children’s Theatre and Dance Center.
